Health Volunteer Project Ecuador |
This project is located in Quito at the Public Children’s Hospital. It is a pediatric hospital that provides specialized health care for children from birth to 14 years of age.
This is one of the main public hospitals in Ecuador and many of the children who receive care here come from lower economic backgrounds. If you want to truly make a difference and help others, Eco Volunteer UP provides a volunteer placement at this hospital. All forms of care are needed, from providing for basic care such as changing and feeding the children to entertaining them with reading, coloring, and game playing. This placement allows you to be creative. You are welcome to bring materials and create your program for the children.
Time volunteering: 2 weeks minimum and maximum 12 weeks
Cost: USD 110 per week
The cost includes: Pick up airport, three meals per day and accommodation in a host family
